In these times of biological turmoil, socioeconomic instability, culturally imbalanced livelihoods and political remediation, our society in America is nothing more than a bastion of twisted elegance. The silver lining in this congested catastrophe is the indomitable will of human grit. For Black citizens of America and ultimately the globe, we are steadily and regularly faced with the horrors of oppression, racism and bigotry to which at times we are isolated and socially distanced. But throughout our sordid experience surviving on colonized land masses, we have maintained a sense of humility and faith for better days. This shirt and slogan is a explanation of how we’ve survived the planned and purposeful segregation of achieving a fruitful life. But it also is the culmination of how standing alone as a people displays our insurmountable power of unity. From legislative regression to unequal housing, economic stability, educational quality and several other basic elements in order to maintain a functioning livelihood, Black people have always been purposely social distanced from having these and being recognized and respected as a human being. It is a new day, a new awakening and we will slumber and slouch no more.
